Kira is a single mother struggling to build a better relationship with her distant teenage daughter, Lina. Line has built a close relationship with her grandmother, Mona, which only makes Kira more desperate in her attempts to bond with Lina. One day, Kira has a bright idea that she believes could pave the way for a stronger bond between them: They should go on a vacation! In her attempt to make the vacation a reality, enticing shadows of the past start catching up with her and Kira is increasingly caught up in a dark, but familiar pattern of addiction.
